ok you guys, The Crow: Wicked Prayer was an awful movie! I had so much hope for it, cause i'm an obsessive crow fan, but this one just should have never been made. They only had 23 days to make it, whoever put the script together rushed it so it was total crap. The choice for some of the actors was a curse to the film. Edward Furlong looked cool, but unfortunately he just didn't seem very angry about what happened to himself and his girlfriend. The whole thing felt more like it was making fun of the Crow than honoring it, which was very disappointing. Stupid homie G director, bad casting of Tara Reid and David Boreanaz, and lack of effort to try and make something good come from a great story.

This film gets a 0 out of 10. If I could give -1 out o ten, I probably would.

I do intend to go out and buy the book this film wasbased off of though. The story and concept was a cool and unique one: )

I watched that last night too! I think Dennis Hopper (the pimp) was the worst part, damn, how many times did he say homey??

Yeah, I thought the crow seemed more upset about himself than he did about his girlfriend. :)

David Boreanaz was acting exactly the same as he did playing Angel/Angelus. At first he was a bit quieter, seemed a little upset about what he was doing, then when he was lucifer he was totally acting like Angelus - more wacky than evil.

This has made me wonder if he should try out for the part of the Joker in the next Batman movie though.

oh man, I can't stand David Boreanaz. I hated what a pussy he was on Buffy. It seemed worse hen he was Angelus because it seemed like he was trying too hard to be mr badass vampire guy. Maybe thats just me though. I also hated Dennis Hopper. He seemed like h was fumbling through the few crap homie g lines he had.

I told y fiance that if anyone cut out my eyes and hung me, he better at least yell or try to lung out or something instead of just standing there waiting for his cue to speak

David Boreanaz is a disgrace. Period.
Dennis Hopper must have really needed that paycheck.

It was sacrilege ever to make any Crow movies beyond the first one, although the TV series turned out to be quite good. Better than it had any right to be. Although it took me a while to warm up to it. It seemed to wrong to have sunlight present in the world of The Crow.

I'm sorry to hear David Boreanaz has sunk so low. That makes me really sad.

see, I really liked City of Angels and Salvation, hence why I was willing to give wicked prayer a good chance. I was really hoping it would be good, but sadly no I was wrong

I still have yet to see the tv series. Don't they have it at blockbuster or something?

In reality, he was one of the best actors in it. I just hated him so much as angel that it sort of flowed over. He kept it interesting when everyone else just sort of fumbled through their crappy lines

Okay, you do realize that not only are you the only person who doesn't like Angel, but you're also the only person who liked any of the Crow sequels, you know that, don't you? :P

I just can't imagine what David B. would be doing with a cast like that. Furlong, Reid, and Hopper are a bunch of D-list actors and kooky freaks who pretty much just get hired when they can't find anyone else willing to work for less money.

But damn, Hopper was cool in "Land of the Dead." That was awesome :)

actually, I think you just dislike both, and hence everyone else should as well: p

Yes, Land of the dead was cool. and I was very happy to see what happened to Mr. Hopper at the end: )

Were it just me, I'd readily admit it. Alas, of the many, many people I've talked to over the years, you're the first one who's liked them. I admit I'm biased because I don't think sequels *should* have been made, given what happened, but alas, money talks in Hollywood. I thought the TV show was the biggest sacrilege of all when I learned of it, yet of anything that's come afterward, it turned out to be the most respectful of the story and it's legacy of anything. I wish it had lasted longer. I think it only ran one season.

You know, both Boreanaz and Hopper have new TV series starting this fall. I'm kind of glad they're getting a shot at a comeback. Hopper in particular, as I don't think he's a bad actor, just someone who's been reduced to doing a lot of terrible things for money.

It's called "E-Ring" and it's about what happens inside the Pentagon. It stars Benjamin Bratt.

I agree. I rented it and watched it. I ended up stopping it an hour into it...I couldn't finish it! It was horrible...bad casting, bad dialogue...The death scenes weren't even cool....and sadly enough, it hurt me, as a Crow fan, to see a lack of emotion even regarding the revenge aspect for the murders.

The book for this movie is much much much better. To be honest, the movie really didn't even follow it either......I recommend the book over the movie.

I was thinking about you cause I know you are a big crow fan like me!!!! I was just disgusted by the lack of care put into the film: (

I've seen plenty of very low budget films turn out to be great films, so they can't use that as an excuse.

I totally agree about the lack of emotion! When he and Lily were hanging next to each other, and they cut out her eyes, I expected him to start screaming or thrashing about. No, he just stood there. I'm sorry, but if someone ever did anything like that to Phil next to me, i'd be going ape shit. Then, instead of seeking vengence for her and his death, he just goes through the whole film whinning about being turned into a monster? What the fuck dude.

I'll be trying to locate as many crow books as I can. I have the one by Poppy Z. Brite. Do you know of a good place tp get them?

No, but I can find out. I got the books as a gift from my current boyfriend. I'll have to ask him and then get back to ya on that. :) Knowing him and the way that he shops, I have a pretty good idea that he probably got them off of Amazon.

Oh well crap, I was afraid that was going to happen.
What the fuck is Tara Reid doing in a Crow movie? No no no no no no! I'll have none of that.

ha ha, I have no idea why they keep casting her in films. As soon as they cast here, its like a bad omen that the film will fail
